Emma Slattery Williams is <BBC History Revealed’s staff writer, covering all areas of history – from Egyptian pharaohs and pirate queens to Queen Victoria and Marilyn Monroe. She also compiles HistoryExtra’s Victorian newsletter and can be heard interviewing historians on the HistoryExtra podcast. A personal highlight so far has been interviewing Sir Tony Robinson. She studied both History and English at Swansea University as she’s never been able to choose a favourite subject. She’s a real history nut, but if she had to pick a few of her favourite topics they’d be the Tudors, ancient Rome and the Victorian era. If she’s not visiting a castle or stately home, you’ll probably find her curled up with copious amounts of tea watching the latest period drama or reading a Jane Austen novel for the millionth time.
